Why The Myers-Briggs Personality Test Is Misleading, Inaccurate, And Unscientific

Like a lot of people on Facebook I’ve done the “Personality Tests” of one form or another that pop up in my feed.  I always thought they were a bit of fun, my results always varied and there were few descriptors that seemed accurate or appropriate.  If anything the results made me feel pigeonholed, not something I personally find appealing.

Perhaps I was closer to the truth than I realised.  It seems that the Myers-Briggs* test has little basis in research or fact, and may even be damaging or limiting – depending on how seriously the results are personally perceived.
